A Better Place
The comic adaptation of the film, A Better Place (1997), written and directed by Vincent Pereira.
Barret, the new kid in school, befriends the local misanthrope Ryan after he protects him from the school bully. However, Ryan is a volatile outcast traumatized by his parents’ violent deaths. Their intense friendship unravels after an accident during a trespassing dispute involving a local landowner, leading Barret to pull away as Ryan becomes increasingly unstable and fixated on him.
